It’s no secret that SONY is the top of the top when it comes to mirrorless cameras in 2017.

If you’re new to the world of mirrorless cameras, welcome to the present and the future of photography and videography.

While you don’t necessarily need this type of camera to document your experiences on Yacht Week we do, however, recommend it for creative types, especially those who are passionate about photography and videography.

Specs: 24.2 MP, 2.95″ LCD, 11fps, 4K Video Recording

DJI Spark Drone

We’re huge drone enthusiasts here at YWPL and we personally carry the DJI Mavic Pro with us when we head out on the Yacht Week.

But now DJI has us questioning our packing decisions now that they’ve released a drone that is almost the same size of an iPhone 7.

Just when we thought we had upgraded from the DJI Phantom 4 to the Mavic and now DJI puts out a drone that can do almost everything the Mavic can do at half the size. We’re truly stumped.

No, it doesn’t shoot 4K but it does shoot high-quality 1080p 30fps video and 12MP photos

GoPro HERO5 Black Camera

Introducing the World’s Most Versatile Action Camera on the market. Nevermind, the GoPro needs no introduction.

The GoPro is one of the most commonly seen items on TYW. Someone on your crew will end up with one of these strapped on their head, chest or another random body part at some point during the week.

What makes the GoPro such a great compliment to Yacht Week is that it’s waterproof and durable as hell. Did I mention it shoots amazingly smooth 4K video and underwater photos that will blow your damn mind? Buy one.
